    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Learning Outcomes

  • Is able to define anatomy and is knowledgeable with regards to main concepts of anatomy.
  • 1.1. Has an overall understanding of the standard terms used in anatomy.
  • 1.2. Has the basic understanding of body cavities of mammals and the serous membranes that cover those cavities.
  • Becomes familiar with the skeleton that forms the framework of the body and learns about the bones forming the skeleton and their connection.
  • 2.1. Is able to group the bones according to their shapes.
  • 2.2. Is able to divide the skeleton into sections and knows all the bones in each section.
  • 2.3. Is able to explain the types of joints and their behavior.
  • Has a general knowledge about the muscles in the animal body.
  • 3.1. Knows the types of muscles and their characteristics.
  • 3.2. Recognizes the superficial muscles.
  • Has a general knowledge about the digestive system organs.
  • 4.1. Becomes familiar with the organs of the digestive system.
  • 4.2. Has the basic understanding of the digestive system accessory glands.
  • Has a general knowledge about the respiratory system organs.
  • 5.1. Is able to define the respiration path from the nose to alveoli.
  • 5.2. Is able to explain the position of the lungs and their comparison among various animal types.
  • Has a general knowledge about the urinary and reproductive systems.
  • 6.1. Is able to explain the urine path starting from the organ it emanates to the one where it is discharged.
  • 6.2. Is able to define male and female reproductive organs.
  • Has a general knowledge about the circulatory system.
  • 7.1. Becomes familiar with the heart in domestic mammals and is able to explain sistemic and pulmonary circulation.
  • 7.2. Has a general knowledge about arteries, veins and the lymphatic system.
  • 7.3. Is able to define endocrine glands.
  • Has a general knowledge about the nervous system.
  • 8.1. Knows central nervous system.
  • 8.2. Is knowledgeable on the peripheral nervous system.
  • 8.3. Is able to explain autonomic nervous system.
  • Has a general knowledge about the organs of sensation.
  • 9.1. Is able to explain the organs of taste, vision and vestibulocochlear organ.
  • 9.2. Is able to define the skin and related compositions.
  • Has a general knowledge about anatomy of domestic birds.
  • 10.1. Understands anatomy of domestic birds in accordance with the systems.
