    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

1. Weeks Basic Review and Preparation • Review of basic concepts: Tonality, cadences, types of modulation • Dictation: Simple melody and rhythm dictation in 2/4, 4/4 measures • Reading: Vocalization of simple melodic structures • Rhythm study: Syncopation introduction in 2/4, 4/4 measures
2. Weeks Simple Modulations and Syncopated Rhythms • Theory: Transition to close tonalities (dominant, subdominant modulation) • Rhythm: Introduction to 6/8 meter, rhythmic analysis of syncopated examples • Dictation: Short rhythm dictation in 6/8 meter • Reading: Reading short melodies with modulation
3. Weeks Temporary Tonalities and 6/8 Measure Applications • Theory: What is temporary tonality, how is it defined? • Dictation: 6/8 and 2/4 transitional rhythms • Rhythm: Accent locations and characteristic structures in 6/8 measure • Reading: Analysis of melodies containing temporary tonality
4. Weeks Introduction to Uneven Meters (9/8) • Theory: Uneven rhythm structures (2+2+2+3 etc.) • Rhythm: Introduction to 9/8 meter and analysis • Dictation: Short rhythmic motifs in 9/8 meter • Reading: Modal melody reading exercises in 9/8 meter
5. Weeks Working with Mixed Meters • Theory: Meter changes, different time sequences • Rhythm: Analysis of 5/8, 7/8 examples • Dictation: Rhythm dictation in mixed meters • Reading: Reading melodies in mixed meters
6. Weeks Extended Tonality I • Theory: Expansion of tonality, chromatic transitions • Melodic analysis: Chromatic motif analysis • Reading: Vocalization of extensive melodic structures • Dictation: Melody dictation with modulation

8. Weeks Extended Tonality II • Theory: Character and direction analysis (rise-descent, tension-relief) • Reading: Tonal width and vocalization of melodies with character • Dictation: Understanding tonal structures • Rhythm: Structure analysis in 12/8 meter
