    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Profile of the Programme

The programme aims to train qualified geriatric care technicians who can assess the care needs of older people using a holistic approach, adhere to ethical principles, are equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills, and are capable of taking on effective roles in the fields of health and social care following graduation.

In this context, the Programme Learning Outcomes are set out below:

PEA -1: The aim is for graduates to be employed as healthcare technicians capable of providing effective, high-quality and professional care services in elderly care settings such as care homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centres and home care services. 

PEA - 2: The aim is to train individuals who act in accordance with ethical principles in their professional practice, respect the rights of older people, and carry out their duties with a sense of responsibility throughout the care process. 

PEA - 3: The aim is for graduates to be able to establish effective and positive communication with older people, their families and the healthcare team.

PEA-4: The aim is to train graduates who keep abreast of current developments in the field of elderly care, are able to respond to changing needs, and continue their professional development through a commitment to lifelong learning.
