    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Clarification Text for Students

As Anadolu University (“University”), we show maximum sensitivity to the security of your personal data. With this awareness, as the University, we attach great importance to the processing and preservation of all kinds of personal data belonging to all persons associated with the University in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 (“KVK Law”). With the full understanding of this responsibility, we process your personal data as "Data Controller" defined under the KVK Law, as explained below and within the limits of the legislation.

  • (IP address information, signature samples)
  • Professional Experience
  • (Diploma information, Courses attended, Professional training information, Certificates, Transcript information, Exam results, Education information)
  • Health Information (special quality data)

  • For what purpose do we collect and process data?

For the purposes listed below, your data is processed on a limited basis in accordance with the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data:

  • Continuing education-teaching activities, assessment, evaluation and achievement follow-up,
  • Administering the tests,
  • Fulfilling the housing, social, financial and personal rights of the students,
  • Promotion of the university and informing the public about the activities performed by the university,
  • To carry out the necessary work so that real and/or legal persons (students, graduates, student candidates, visitors, suppliers, business partners, employees of the institutions we cooperate with, etc.) who have a relationship with the University can benefit from the services provided by the University and/or the units affiliated to the University,
  • Ensuring the legal, commercial, occupational health and safety of real and/or legal persons (students, graduates, student candidates, visitors, suppliers, business partners, employees of the institutions we cooperate with, etc.) in the University and/or the units affiliated to the University.
  • Fulfilling the legal and regulatory requirements arising from all relevant laws and secondary regulations and taking the necessary measures accordingly,
  • Enabling the inspection and/or regulation duties to be performed by the authorized public and professional organizations,
  • Managing the disciplinary investigation processes of students,
  • Providing health services to students studying at the university,
  • Supporting graduates in career planning, monitoring graduate success, creating an alumni network,
  • Carrying out sports activities and students’ benefiting from the events and organizations as a member of the University student community and student clubs,
  • Fulfilling the information and document requests requested by the judicial organs and/or administrative authorities,
  • Improving the products and services offered in the University and/or all units affiliated to the University, making necessary changes to increase satisfaction, and producing statistical and scientific information,
  • To be able to directly contact the University through the communication channels shared with the University to conduct market research, promotion and necessary information regarding products and services, and to evaluate complaints and suggestions,
  • Continuing all kinds of activities such as academic workshops, scientific research, project applications, application and transfer of rights under the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works and Industrial Property Law,
  • Determining, developing and implementing the legal compliance processes of the university's strategies,
  • Carrying out accreditation work and evaluation analyses of the University and its affiliated units,
  • Fulfilling the requests for participation in activities such as training and seminars,
  • Cooperating with international institutions for educational and research purposes, training programs, staff exchanges, carrying out joint activities with the countries and country representatives of foreign employees,
  • Carrying out the necessary work by the relevant business units for you to benefit from the services of our university
  1. To Whom and For What Purpose Can the Processed Personal Data Be Transferred?

To be able to carry out the necessary work for you to benefit from the services of our university, continue education activities, conduct examination processes, ensure public order and security, ensure the legal and commercial security of our University and those who have a business relationship with our University, determine and implement the commercial and business strategies of our University, and for the purposes of carrying out the human resources policies of our University, your collected personal data may be transferred to our domestic and foreign business partners, suppliers, legally authorized public institutions and private individuals, in line with the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 8 and 9 of the Personal Data Protection Law.

3. Method and Legal Reason for Personal Data Collection

Although your personal data may vary depending on the relationship between you and our University, it may be collected verbally, in writing or electronically, by automatic or non-automatic methods, through our University units, website, call center, our University social media channels, contracts, mobile applications and similar means. Your personal data can be updated and processed as long as you have a relationship with our University and limited to the period stipulated by the legal regulations.

Your personal data is obtained to provide our services in all kinds of verbal, written or electronic media in line with the above-mentioned purposes, and to enable the University comply with the mandatory provisions of the laws, establish contracts, act in accordance with the Fundamental Rights and Freedoms, the consent of the person, and his/her responsibilities arising from the contract and the law properly. Your personal data collected for this legal reason can also be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in articles (1) and (2) of this text within the scope of personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data.

4. Rights of Personal Data Owners Listed in Article 11 of the KVK Law

As personal data owners, if you submit your requests regarding your rights to our University through the methods set out below, our University will conclude the request free of charge within thirty days at the latest, depending on the nature of the request. However, if a fee is stipulated by the Personal Data Protection Board, the fee determined by our University will be charged. Personal data owners have the following rights:

  • Learning whether personal data is processed or not,
  •  If personal data has been processed, requesting information about it,
  • Learning the purpose of processing personal data and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,
  • Knowing the third parties to whom personal data is transferred in the country or abroad,
  • Requesting correction of personal data in case of incomplete or incorrect processing and requesting notification of the transaction made within this scope to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  • Requesting the deletion or destruction of personal data in the event that the reasons requiring its processing have disappeared, although it has been processed in accordance with the provisions of the KVK Law and other relevant laws, and requesting the notification of the transaction made within this scope to the third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  • Objecting to the emergence of a result against the person himself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
  • Requesting the compensation of the damage in case of loss due to unlawful processing of personal data.

5. Application Procedure

In accordance with paragraph 1 of Article 13 of the KVK Law, you can send your request to exercise your rights specified in Article 11 of the same law, to the registered e-mail (KEP) address or to the e-mail address you have previously notified to our University and registered in our system, anadolu.universitesi@hs01.kep.tr or you can send it in person, in writing, by notary public or by registered mail. The application must contain

a) Your name, surname and, if the application is in writing, your signature,

b) If you are a citizen of the Republic of Türkiye, T.R. ID number, if you are a foreigner, your nationality, passport number or your identity number, if any,

c) Your place of residence or workplace address for notification,

ç) Your e-mail address, telephone and fax number, if any, for notification,

d) Your request subject.

Information and documents related to the subject should be attached to the application.
