    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

# Field Qualifications
1 have advanced theoretical and practical knowledge that is supported by  course materials, applied instruments, research methods and techniques used in field studies and other resources, including up-to-date information based on the competences acquired in the field of humanities.
2 use advanced theoretical and practical knowledge they acquire in the field of humanities.
3 use, analyze and apply advanced knowledge and skills they acquire in humanities for education, research and social service purposes.
4 work independently or  assume responsibility as a team member to solve unpredicted and complex problems encountered in the field of humanities.
5 plan activities for professional development of their subordinates.
6 plan personal and institutional development, using the knowledge and skills they acquire in the field of humanities.
7 critically evaluate knowledge and skills they acquire in the field of humanities.
8 define learning needs of their subordinates, and manages learning processes.
9 adopt a positive approach to lifelong learning. 
10 impart knowledge and communicate their opinions to institutions related with humanities; offer theoretical and practical solutions to problems.
11 support their solution proposals to problems concerning humanities with qualitative and quantitative data, and communicate these data through various media to specialist and non-specialist individuals and institutions.
12 participate in various social, cultural and artistic events held in the field of humanities.
13 follow the knowledge in humanities and communicates this knowledge to specialist and non-specialist individuals and institutions by speaking at least one foreign language at B1 level, as defined by the European Language Portfolio.
14 use computer software and information and communication technologies required by the field of humanities at the advanced level.
15 gather, analyze and interpret knowledge in the field of humanities, and communicate this knowledge to related individuals and institutions.
16 comply with ethical values in practices related with humanities.
17 consider the universality of social, cultural and artistic rights in the field of humanities; have an awareness of social justice; protect historical and cultural heritage; and give importance to social and cultural values.
18 carry out interdisciplinary research in the field of humanities.
