    Eskişehir Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, founded in 1958, formed the basis of Anadolu University. The Academy was replaced by Anadolu University in 1982, which has gained a well-deserved place as a modern, dynamic and innovative institution among the largest universities not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.

    Kısa adıyla BAP (Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri), yüksek öğretim kurumlarındaki bilimsel araştırmaların desteklenmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş bir uygulamadır. Bu uygulama YÖK'ün 01.01.2002 tarihinden geçerli olmak üzere yürülüğe aldığı Yükseköğretim Kurumları Bilimsel Araştırma Projeleri Hakkında Yönetmelik uyarınca gerçekleştirilmektedir. Üniversitemizin tüm öğretim elemanları BAP Komisyonuna başvurarak bilimsel araştırmaları için kaynak alabilirler.

    At Anadolu University, social and cultural activities are as important as education and scientific research. The University frequently holds scientific events such as conferences, seminars, panels, congresses and symposia, and cultural activities such as exhibitions, stage performances and concerts. In addition to smaller conference halls in each unit, Atatürk Culture and Arts Center, Congress Center and Cinema Anadolu on Yunusemre Campus house many activities throughout the year.

Research Centre for Applied Studies on Turks Abroad

Purpose of the Centre:

To carry out research on citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, Türkiye based persons living abroad and related communities, to communicate research results to the concerned bodies, and when required, to organize educational activities in this field.

Activity areas of the Centre:

  1. To carry out research and investigations, in Türkiye and/or on site, about citizens of the Republic of Türkiye, Türkiye based persons living abroad and related communities,
  2. If and when needs be, to forge cooperation with related institutions and research centers in Türkiye and abroad,
  3. To draw up and implement projects on problems of Türkiye based persons living abroad, and when required, to issue certificates through training programs and education,
  4. To provide researchers conducting works on related fields and graduate and undergraduate students in related departments with research fields, joint study and application areas, and to offer consultancy to the groups mentioned,
  5. To ensure the exchange of knowledge as well as mobility of faculty members and graduate students between Anadolu University and universities and other institutions in countries where the population Türkiye citizens is most abundant,
  6. To hold national and international events such as seminars, symposiums and conferences on activity areas of the Centre, and to publish reports, bulletins and journals,
  7. To collect all sorts of documents on activity areas of the Centre and to make them available for the use of researchers.
